Just when you thought cat videos had peaked, this beautiful gift has been bestowed upon the internet.
The 12-second clip, uploaded by Twitter user @kyoumetan, shows a Japanese cat being presented with a tantalising cherry, dangling right in front of it.
Lesser cats may have been tempted to attack the cherry, swatting at it with reckless abandon.
But this particular puss is clearly a more sensitive soul, and instead chooses to caress the fruit gently with its paws, in an incredible display of restraint.
